Killarney 4th of July Celebrations
Killarney town is set for a major transformation this coming July as America’s most significant national holiday is taking over the town. Killarney’s annual 4th of July Independence Day festival is set to be a celebration of all things American!
Festivities on Thursday July 4th include The Big Parade, An out-door cinema, choir singing, a street party, swing dancing, and lots more fun for both young and old, all located in the beautiful scenic town of Killarney.
The celebrations will commence at 3.00 pm with the raising of the American flag by the Mayor of Killarney & Chamber President at Killarney town hall. Following that the town will transformed into a carnival atmosphere of fun and entertainment.
Brass bands, Cheerleaders, Disney characters will be on hand to keep everyone entertained from 3.00 pm – 7.00 pm.
3.45 pm – 4.30 pm – Bank raid on the streets by Wild Wild West. Along with face painters & street entertainers.
5.00 pm – 5.30 pm – American Band, The Washington Varsity – Alumni Marching band
5.00 pm – 6.00 pm – 3 brass bands performing on Plunkett St.
6.00 pm – 6.30 pm – The 3 O’s on Plunkett St.
6.15 pm – 6.45 pm – Swing Flash dance on Main St.
The Highlight of the Day is The Big parade which will commence at 7pm from the outlet centre Car park, and this will bring the streets of Killarney to life.
Following the big parade at 10.00 pm there will be a screening of “Greece Lightening” in an outdoor screen on the grounds of Killarney House.
This is an alcohol free event.
And of course no 4th of July Celebration would be complete without a spectacular fireworks display which will round off the evening at 11.15 pm and light up the night sky over Killarney.
