The Council of the Killarney Municipal District is composed of a Cathaoirleach, who represents the Municipality as a whole, and seven other elected members. Cllr. John Sheahan’s term as Mayor is for one year and ends in May 2019. Council Members are elected for a five year term with the current term of office being to May 2019.
The administration is managed by the Killarney Municipal District Manager, Ms. Angela McAllen; a Municipal District Officer; a Municipal District Engineer and a team of Kerry County Council staff.
