Fáinne na Locha currently offers 5 scenic kilometres of pleasant walking on a tarred surface. Parking is available on Port Road or adjacent to the Cathedral.

The walking trail is adjacent to the Fossa Road lying on the outskirts of Killarney National Park. Magnificent views of Killarney lakes and mountains can be seen along the way. The route finishes at Fossa Cross (adjacent to the Europe Hotel).

This walk is perfect for a leisurely stroll and family outings. There are two playgrounds on the route; port Road Playground and at the Castlerosse Hotel.
