A very popular family walk around Muckross Lake, taking in Dinis Cottage and the Meeting of the Waters. Beginning at Muckross House and as if you were standing at the front door, walk straight out that road and keep to the left at the ‘junction’. This road will bring you directly to Dinis Cottage, enjoying the views and hopefully seeing some deer along the way.

Situated on the shores of Muckross Lake, Dinis Cottage dates back to the 1700’s and evidence shows it was a hunting lodge. Most people are unaware that behind the cottage is one of the most special views Killarney holds; the Meeting of the Waters. As the name suggests, this is where Killarney’s three lakes unite.
